This vinyl LP is an important recording of 12 tracks by eight brand new all-women garage bands, that recently formed in Leicester UK, creating their own brilliant songs and a whole new music scene. Unglamorous women are all ages, all backgrounds, mostly beginners starting to play in bands with great energy, attitude and plenty to say. The vinyl gatefold sleeve and inner show many photographs, quotations, a timeline and information about the eight bands, along with the principles that make it all happen. There's been a huge amount of interest in this music, with articles in The Guardian, Positive News, TV and radio appearances worldwide and the demand from hundreds of women that they too would like to play in punk or art-rock bands as soon as possible!

It's raw, it's different. Unglamorous Sampler is the voice of ordinary women in 2023 Leicester who formed garage bands, created their own songs and had it all recorded professionally while it was still fresh. We're sure you'll find a favourite here, whether it's the punk attitude of The Wonky Portraits and Virginia's Wolves, the art-rock of Glitch Magnet, the great guitars of Velvet Crisis and Dada Women, the snarky humour of Venus Attax, Ruby Psyclone and The Verinos. Available on vinyl, CD and digital, Unglamorous Sampler is a refreshingly old school release that's bang up to date!
